In collaboration with Almanac, nthspace Torino welcomes independent curator Ginevra Ludovici in support of her latest research project.  As part of a broader public programme commissioned by Almanac, Ginevra’s research will explore the difficult heritage of the Anthropocene through the city’s botanical garden (Orto Botanico dell'Università di Torino) and former zoo.  She will examine the historical, ecological and cultural impact of these sites, questioning their narratives and transformations.

Born in Rome, Ginevra is currently a PhD candidate in Analysis and Management of Cultural Heritage at Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca, where her research focuses on artist-run educational platforms.  She is also coordinator for the Italian Chapter of the Association for Critical Heritage Studies and co-founded the multidisciplinary collective CampoBase.

Her work has seen her collaborate with notable artistic institutions, including The Museum of Modern Art (New York), Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa (Lisbon), ASK Art, Science and Knowledge (Milan), Academia de España (Rome), Fondazione Giuliani (Rome), Museo di Arte Contemporanea Termoli (Termoli), and Remont Gallery (Belgrade).  Her writing has been published in various academic publications and culture magazines.
